I have tried OTC arthritis pain meds they don’t offer much relief for me. I have had surgery for herniated disc. My doctor says that there is a lot of inflamation and arthritis in my back. You can’t get Vioxx anymore. Is there an alternative?
Ice works better than any anti inflammatory for inflammation. Apply ice for 10 min, then off for 10 min, back and forth. Naproxen would be the next thing if you don’t want ice. Exercise is the best treatment for arthritis, as pain gets worse if your muscles are stiff. I would recommend going for walks. Some pools have arthritis programs to do water aerobics that are special for arthritis. There are other meds you can take, such as Celebrex. Hope this helps, God Bless

Pain that never goes away never gets better
and chronic fatigue (just completely exhausted)
family history of cancer please help any info will be
appreciated!!
How old are you? This small bit of info helps a great deal.
chronic back pain is one of the most common presenting complaints that general physicians encounter. The vast majority of these are not related to a malignancy.
Yes, there are many types of cancer that could cause chronic, unrelenting back pain - but not for years. If there is a malignancy in the spine, it will usually threaten life within a year. Multiple Myeloma in the spine and any carcinoma or sarcoma metastatic to the spinal column could cause unrelenting pain and chronic fatigue, but many other benign conditions that are more common could cause these symptoms.
This must be evaluated by a physician who knows all the details of your medical history and physical examination plus blood work and x-ray studies.

I am a 13 yr. old female who doesn’t exercise or eat well or eat regularly(I starve my self to get skinnier, I know… its bad). I have been having chronic lower back pain only when breathing deeply (mostly late at later in the day). Also, I have been having sharp chest pain (like someone wrapped something really tightly around my chest). The chest pain is more discomforting than painful, but keeps me up at night. My mom thinks it could be a kidney infection, but I’m not sure.
P.S. I went to the doctor a while ago, he gave me drugs for heartburn (my heartburn went away… and so did my other symptoms). But I have different symptoms. I think they could be lack of vitamins, fiber, and other things. I try to eat well but my mom constantly buys candy and really fattening food that she eats all the time, so its hard to eat well in a house full of that.

Beyer Chiropractic & Physical Therapy takes a different approach to the treatment and prevention of low back pain.
After a thorough neurological examination the Doctor determines which part of the nervous system is not functioning properly. In many low back pain patients the Doctor may find a high mesencephalic output.
There are three parts to the brain stem: top, middle, and lower. The mesencephalon is the top part of the brain stem. A high output of the mesencephalon will cause an increased pulse and heart rate, inability to sleep or waking up from fitful sleep, urinary tract infection, increase warmth or sweating, and sensitivity to light.
Along with a high mesenphalic output, the low back pain patient may have a decreased output of the cerebellum. The cerebellum is in the back part of the brain, and it controls all of the involuntary spinal musculature.
No matter what the condition, it is imperative that the doctor performs a thorough and comprehensive exam to determine the exact nature of the patients condition.
If you would like to have more information or to set up a consultation and see how we can help you (or someone you know), give us a call at 708-614-1222 to schedule an appointment to see if you are a candidate for these breakthrough procedures.
